TRACsa Annual Report 2006

TRACsa first ever Annual Report was tabled in Parliament on 6th December 2006. 

The report outlines the activities and achievements of TRACsa for the year 30 June 2006. Although TRACsa had only been operational for seven months, much was achieved in that short time.

Following the commencement of TRACsa on 1 December 2005, the early focus was on the administrative matters of setting up a new organisation. However, a number of work programs were also commenced.

Some of the key achievements outlined in the Annual Report included:

  • establishing a Best Practice Taskforce to identify and disseminate recognised multidisciplinary best practice treatment of road victims. As their first priority, the Taskforce is working on the development of a treatment pathway for people who suffer from whiplash 
  • interrogating available data and developing an information Management Plan to ensure that relevant data can be accessed to enable TRACsa to achieve its goals.
  • undertaking a joint project with WorkCover to commission a review of national and international literature to identify best practice return to work strategies 
  • commissioning the production of A Social Health Atlas of Compensable Injury in South Australia 
  • developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders including; the Motor Accident Commission and their claims manager Allianz, WorkCover SA, the Government sector, business and industry sectors, peak health care bodies, the legal profession, academic groups and victims of road trauma.
